What I offer

Hands-on advice and planning – and when needed execution across media, social, influencers/analysts and platforms. As an independent consultant, I work flexibly and unobtrusively with inhouse teams and other advisors. Comms heads know that in meetings, I’ll be credible and practical, but won’t grandstand.

Strategic communications and issues management: flexible extra senior resource able to help CCOs quickly with their thinking and writing, when it really matters.

Message development and c-suite media training: Good media training is a given; I specialize in helping fill the often-crucial gap: creating messaging beyond sales-speak with stories + views that capture media interest.

Marketing/comms planning, and US market entry: Most growth companies want media coverage, but have no informed idea whether they can achieve it and what they need to do.  And many fintechs need help to power the flywheel connecting editorial media with social media and owned content.

Engagement/monitoring programs with substackers/influencers/analysts: Many companies don’t know what is being said about them on Substack (it’s hard to monitor) and don’t know how to engage substackers and analysts.

Thought leadership planning: Much thought leadership doesn’t work. I identify/package your existing thought leadership, and help you plan how to most efficiently produce robust thought leadership.

Media and audience audits: actionable feedback from reporters and commentators (and customers) is notoriously hard. My online connections deliver meaningful results efficiently in niches that market research agencies find hard.

Corporate writing/editing: I specialize in distinctive, business-critical writing, not the AI-driven marketing middle ground; and often fill an inhouse gap in strong editing.

Training packages: I run training sessions for individuals and groups on writing/editing, industry panels, presenting, and overall impact at events.
