A strategic partner to financial services communicators with three decades experience
After ten years in investment banking at Deutsche Bank, I moved into communications in the 1990s, with long stints at H&K and Fishburn Hedges. From 2012 to 2026, I worked for specialist financial services agency Cognito, running first its London office and then its New York office.
My recent PR experience includes ING, Global Payments, S&P Global, Fitch, J.P. Morgan, FIS, U.S. Bank, Thoughtworks, CME Group, Morningstar, MarketAxess, Willis Towers Watson, Finastra, SGX, EY, Broadridge, Wolters Kluwer, and SWIFT. I’ve also worked for growth companies: securing media and conference profiling; communicating funding, partnerships and exits; and advising founders on marketing.
My track record includes corporate + product comms, CEO profiling, as well as issues management and financial comms. I’ve also led major corporate and service line rebranding. Transactional work includes M&A, fundraisings, restructurings, and VC deals. I’ve worked with multiple executives for “print” and broadcast media, and conference panels and speeches.
I’ve always remained a “doer” – creating plans and PR copy, researching opportunities, and pitching stories to media contacts. My social media footprint unmasks me as an incorrigible media hound. With German and strong French, I bring particular expertise in handling complex European and international media to make cross-border communications programs work.
I’ve also a longstanding interest in public policy – I’ve run for election to both the UK House of Commons and the European Parliament (a moderate Conservative for 40 years, if you’re wondering, but now a Lib Dem). As a part-time local councillor in London 1990-2018, I specialized in finance/business/pensions issues.
